Thank you for your very detailed and interesting posts. I'm ordering today, and
hope it helps me. I really appreciate the time you've put in answering
questions.

Hi Debcatz
You're very welcome. The thing that frustrated me the most about all of this was
the lack of help and detailed direction I got from the 2 gastroenterologists
that I went to. Stomach problems are so person specific that doctors struggle to
provide a tailored response, and just give you some Prilosec and send you on
your way - and most people get worse from this.
I try to spread some of the knowledge I've learned throughout the ordeal in the
hopes that it might help someone. I spent 6 months eating the wrong thing (was
having pasta with marinara sauce - tomato sauce is one of the worst for acidity)
almost daily, just because I didn't know it was hurting me. This was right after
I damaged my stomach from stimulants and little sleep, and I thought pasta would
be healthy for me, which was quite wrong Lol. The marinara sauce made things a
good deal worse.
If someone told me, I could have saved myself a lot of pain. And the
encouragement is the most important thing though :-) Your stomach is so closely
linked to your brain (through the vagus nerve), so when your stomach is in bad
shape, it will make you easily irritable and anxious. Faith in God and some kind
words are some of the strongest medicines for this !
Try the Pepzin GI, and please ask any questions you have. It's a great aid to
get you through some painful times while your stomach is healing (for
gastritis), and for acid reflux it may provide some protection and pain relief
as well.
